Dwarf Giraffe Catfish with Africans?

they may only get to 8" which is what some syno's can and will get too but their mouth is huge and willl easily eat small fish. i am lead to believe that they can eat fish of approx up to 3" maybe bigger depending on how big they grow.

i was told that if they are well fed they should leave the fish as they wont be hungry. i considered getting one for my cichlid set up.

well im getting my info from ive never heard of a dwarf giraffe catfish but like aaron said i know synos get up to 8" sorry if i was wrong but i prefer the standard giraffe cat if this the case...still learning about all the cichlid stuff

They'll be fine with mbuna. They hide much of the time and grow big enough to not be considered edible. They wonderfully fill the same niche any Synodontis sp. would. However they do seem to enjoy one another's company so i would definitely pick up more than one.
