Yes! There's such a thing! They've even been bred in private aquariums! This time im serious, the minimum tank size is around 5gals, my public aquarium has them in a 10gal and their laying eggs! They are considered 'common' in the hobby, unfortunetly they only live 8-10 months and they are usually found at adult size in pet stores. My local public aquarium just bred them! Their selling the eggs to other enthusiasts. That was almost a year ago though they might have bred them again by now!

^ That is a Blue Ring octopus, yes its seen in the aquarium trade (albeit a bit rare), and its also one of the most deadly toxic marine animals out there which can kill you in literally minutes...

I myself at one stage considered setting up a tank for one, but common sense and my g/f are sort of keeping me from setting one up...

So in other words, this is not the type of pet / animal you go out to stick in a tank without first knowing EVERYTHING about it...

No antivenom either if my memorys correct. its not so fun being paralysed and need artificial respiration. thats if you make it in time
