^ That is a Blue Ring octopus, yes its seen in the aquarium trade (albeit a bit rare), and its also one of the most deadly toxic marine animals out there which can kill you in literally minutes...
I myself at one stage considered setting up a tank for one, but common sense and my g/f are sort of keeping me from setting one up...
So in other words, this is not the type of pet / animal you go out to stick in a tank without first knowing EVERYTHING about it...
So assuming you actually do manage to find a compatable pair of the hapalochlaena, manage to get them established and comfortable, and with enough life time left, what are the chances of breeding them? Realisticly? Also keeping fresh genetics comming in etc. A serious sustained breeding program. - N
Another thing, how many times ideally would they lay a "clutch" of eggs in there short life time? Is anyone credible doing this right now
**edit** well I guess you have 1 shot at breeding.
You might as well have a pet rattle snake!!!
Hi Oddball, just curious how long does it take to kill an adult human? If i remember correctly i think it was 2-5 min or does it take a bit longer?
