I am hopefully going to get a 55; as there is a good deal on craigslist near me. How many pikes should I get? I wouldn't mind breeding them, but that isn't a priority right now. With a larger tank like that, are there larger, more attractive pikes that would be suitable?

For dwarf pikes, a 55 gallon could handle 6 regani's ... or two pairs of noto's ... as for slightly larger pikes, I would think belly crawlers or proteus would work ... though I'd imagine they'd enjoy more width than a 55 (ie a 75). But I'm sure someone that's kept the midsize pikes will speak up ... I've been limited to dwarves so far due to space constraints.
