Dwarf puffer question

Google how to sex them and try and get a trio if you insist on getting multiple, I've personally kept them before and they do great with each other on a few different instances. They are super curious little things but will nip at some unexpecting fish so I always just kept them with their own kind and with dwarf shrimp.

If you dont mind keeping a single fish in a 10g you could even look into some of the smaller red eye puffers such as the C.irrubessco

Wouldn't those be like 100x bigger than a full size pea puffer? I've only seen the one you listed once in person and not sure if it was an adult but it was a whole lot bigger than a tank full of pea puffers.

^ they grow slightly larger than dwarfs but not much bigger which is why i mentioned them... I think i know which one your talking about... Cant remember the name though ad there are 3 species, the irrubessco, loreti and the 3rd which is the biggest of the 3...

You could probably do a figure 8 puffer in a ten, mines in a 20 and I never see him until he sees me with food lol.

F8's should ideally be in at least 15g per singleton... Not to mention they are actually very light brackish and not freshwater puffers...

True, I forgot to mention the brackish thing, but thats not hard.

^ I agree its not hard, but yeah, some people just don't want to go brackish so always good to mention :)
