you should be fine without a skimmer as long as you keep up on wc i have run a 29 gal without a skimmer for about a year supporting various corals as well a dwarf eel, frogfish, flame angle, clown pair, and around 10 inverts of various types

Sorry for the lack of updates was camping, planning on adding something this week from Marco algae to snails any input? Not going to do anything expensive till I'm able to test my water properly as I left my test kit at my grandpas.

Thanks for the input, might add some green star polyps after everything is cycled (most likely before the sea horses) but I'm finding mixed info on there feeding most say they feed all through sun light. Reason I'm paranoid on adding them is I don't want the sea horses competing with anything for their pods. What do you all think? I'd love to give the tank more color. Any other suggestions on corals that don't eat pods or pods even eating the corals in some cases?

Will post a pic of the tank tonight not much has changed though expect I need to clean the glass but it's looking a lot clearer.

Well, I don't know what they eat or anything, but I've always been a fan of the dragon eye ones. And the tree corals might give the little guy something to hold on to... Again, no clue as to diet or anything, just food for thought.

And you never posted that pic! :p

My bad! Been stuying for finals uploadfromtaptalk1338877001330.jpguploadfromtaptalk1338876990299.jpguploadfromtaptalk1338876979467.jpguploadfromtaptalk1338876967984.jpg

Will be doing a water check sometime this week. Been doing research on pods found out they feed off phytoplankton and Macro algea which is great since i plaNed on having lots of Macro Algae in the tank. After i get a healthy pod population i might go with some green star polyps and giant green star polyps. Did some more reading and found out they mostly only feed tthrough light and occashin phytooplankton. So if theres any coral that only feed on one of those two or both please lemme know! As for kenya trees (tree coals) unfortuently they eat pods and the sea horses grabbing on to them may stress them out. Wish i could put them in there tho they really are awesome.

Try to box off the powerhead; seahorses are not good swimmers & may even attempt to perch on the powerhead. I wouldn't bother with any corals rather I would get a variety of macroalgae & plants in order to provide a variety of proper perches.

I'm taking out the power head before I put them in there it was only there for cycling. So no go on corals. Been reading on how to add macro algae to the tank most say start off with a small piece but I want to get huge pieces to start off with. Is that fine?
