4" gap enough?Very! Do you have plenty of places for him to hide, and that are shaded when the lights are on?
They come out a lot more and show their rowdy selves when they have places to chill and not be disturbed. Best tip I've gotten is to make sure they have plenty of gaps to come up for air, and that those aren't too vulnerable either, aka at least 25% of the surface covered in plants at all times.
Sounds fine! I don't know where yours originates from, but I try to adapt the amount of space according to the seasons, so when it's usually drier where mine is from, I lower the water level to mimic that environment.4" gap enough?
