does Channa punctata fall into that group as well? I thought I remembered reading they only grow to around 12".

No it is not its just on the border of being a Dwarf it gets to 12"+ so not on the list of Dwarfs

ok, cool. you got any more info on C. punctata? I've only ever seen one pic (the one on fishbase) and haven't seen much info. I've found quite a bit of info on others like bleheri, gachua, micropeltes etc. Just trying to expand my mind.
