yeah the danios are genetically altered and have been bread for quite awhile so its like a new strain, the website is www.glofish.com. Im not sure how i feel about them yet. My sister had to have some of the pink ones. Umm as far as dyed i think the ones i hate the most are what they do to the blood parrots, any of it, whether it be designs or those stupid little blue and purple ones they call cotton candy. But the glass fish that they dye i think bothers me even more.

I agree fully. I see no reason to alter them. They look ugly to me. I swear no fish is healthy after that sort of treatment. It's almost like their spirits been broken in a way.

I don't know I really like those glo in the dark danios they altered. Its kinda cool.

Prolly cause they're very appealing and interesting. I know I'd be hooked to look at 'em. Not sure about buying danios, just not my sort of fish.

Same here. I think most schooling fish are dumb. But these fish are different which makes them appealing.

I dont like most small tetra's barbs, danios, etc. All those shÎtty fish.

Ones that grow beyond 3" and or have personality are the ones for me.

Alot of small fish are cool too...just because they can't take off a couple fingers or so, doesn't mean they can't be appreciated

I agree. I've always liked hatchet fish and most tetra. I just can't keep a community tank going for some reason. The plants always die and I get frustrated and give all my pretty little fish away. I might get some of these glo fish and keep them with unaltered danios to see if they show any distinguishing behaviors. I do have a spare ten gallon at the moment. Has anyone ever heard of this being done with other fish?
