Dyed fish outrage

Well they dye them thay tatto them and the make then glow in the dark
all these things shorten the fishs lives and stress them to the max
But people keep buying them so the shops keep selling them
Its the $ that drives bisness and the people that buy these

its a problem that will never go away, because as long as the public buys them (ie there is demand) the stores have to sell them.

remember: most LFS's do NOT have a choice.

unless they are only LFS around.

if there is competition, and they sell it, and people want the fish, they will go to the competition.

leaving the other LFS not much choice.

their hands are tied if they want to stay in business..

sucks, but thats life in the highly competitive world of retailing..

Well that's all the more reason to avoid the shop that sells dyed fish in favor of one that doesn't...if I have 3 LFS nearby and 2 sell dyed fish, while the 3rd doesn't, what I ought to do is support the guy who doesn't, if for nothing else then to offset the business he's losing to the shops that do carry the dyed fish.

but what if you live in an area like I do, where all the stores are huge with big selections and they ALL carry dyed fish every now and then.

this is the first time ive seen it and it dont look good.my main lfs's sell very good stock. the only reason i went there was to get mouse litter/bedding and i previously bought some fish there and they had decent stock. couldnt complain about that. so i decided ill check out see what they got and browsing through the tank as you do and walked along and i saw them and i was like wtf are theese. i saw them and i thought oh great now bloody dyed fish are in aus. looked at the sticker and saw "coloured cats". why dont they face the cold hard truth"dyed cats who have endured terrible pain and aggony and a heap of stress only to ridiculed and mocked with the hideous fouro dye that was tatood on there skin"

yeh but dont buy the dyed fish. what people should do instead of boycott the store just boycott the dyed fish sections.
