DYED PARROT: Should I take him in or reject him?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
So I took him off of her hands so it's in a 20gal for now and he will go to the blood parrot community tank at my parents' place this weekend. He will be housed with two parrots. I'm not used to have a bright blue fish around my 20gal tank right now....looks funny.

Since its not coming directly from the store, the only thing to consider is can you care for it. Theres nothing morally wrong in taking a dyed/mutilated fish that needs a home . The reason we don't buy those kind of fish is to send a message to the stores that this is not a good thing to be selling because its morally wrong. But there is no message to be said so there is no problem. If you can care for it then take it.

I'd like to see it. just curious.

Well at this point taking a stand against dyed fish by refusing only will cause the fish in question to die. The people who are doing it already got their money.

Whether you should take it in should be based on if you have enough room, compatibility of stock, and health of the said fish

He's very responsive fish and likes to pay attention to me. He settled down very quickly as I fed him after been in the tank for 5 minutes.

Watch, you will get all emotionally attached to it and want to keep it and it will be your best fish buddy!
