E-BAY

I talked to my ebay rep about several issues yesterday. First off, neutrals count as negatives. Which is why my score keeps dropping without negatives. Luckily in late August they are doing away with that and my rating will raise back up.

Now for the big problem, not being able to leave negatives for buyers. They said they lost too many new buyers because of getting negative feedback so in order to keep all new buyers they did away with negatives for the buyer. Now I see several problems with this. First, chances are if they received a negative they more then likely deserved it. Secondly, the sellers pay the fees, you could argue that the buyers do but ultimately it comes out of the sellers account. So you would think ebay would be worried about protecting the sellers as they "pay the bills".

Just wanted to give a heads up on my findings.

Didn't ask about paypal as we've always accepted paypal. Now another issue I don't like is how I'm now required to accept e-checks in paypal, those just screw everything up.

Can't leave non paying buyers negative either, you can only file a non paying bidder claim on them and ebay will mark them for it.

Ebay i can stand, for any given auction its less then $1 to make for me, but paypal fricken takes like $5+ every time i sell something. Paypal was a brilliant idea as it takes absolutely no work and they make so much money its rediculous.

There is actually a paypal business thing in Omaha, and they have a larger new building, a basketball and volleyball court and a lake they built with fountains ect.

I wonder why ebay now about forces you to use paypal? Perhaps a little paypal paying ebay action? I would believe so!

They don't force you to use paypal, you just have to accept it. I still have a lot of orders paid via credit card.

They don't force you per say, but what other way are you really going to do it? Credit card is only really an option when dealing with a large seller that has the website setup to do that on.

If you are selling something on ebay just to get some extra money out of something you don't use there really is no other way then paypal.
