Thanks, the photos don't do justice. They stood out to me right away because their markings were perfect, being wild caught i guess you expect that. At the same time it is a shame seeing these still being caught when they are commonly bred these days!!!

I have never seen Ocellaris with anything but perfect markings, good LFS's will only stock the good ones!

Usually Percs are the ones with weird markings like dark brown faces or lines in the wrong places, and usually the weird looking snowflake clowns are Percula x Ocellaris hybrids.

Great fish tho (Oc's) ,i bought mine at 1" they paired up immediately, turned orange from the original yellow and were about 2" inside a 6 weeks

picasso i think would be the proper term for the clown. around me, about 100 bucks per fish, and hard to find. There sweet looking and if you can come by some in your area, id get them.

Must be a bit different over here in Bris, Aus. Definately Ocellaris but the patterns are not a major difference. Usually the tank bred ones i see are the right colour but where there stripes are meant to join up at the bottom you see thousands where they join up on there sides. I will try and get a pic of one sometime to show you.

That pic of the clown is pretty cool, i have never seen anything like it.

there are misbar occelarus.. piccasso clowns aren't just hybrid of occelarus and perculas.. ORA grows picasso and misbar occelaruses

i agree with bigG, I have tank raised Oc's and I have seen plenty of picasso clowns around, but they are a miss breed of some sort, i have never seen pics of these fish in the wild.

This is my tank raised clown
