Agreed, on top of being social cichlid, Satanoperca is one of the more peaceful genus there are. Mixing them with rowdy tank mates doesn't make them a good choice, it's bad husbandry. They will stress easily.

I'm not trying to shoot down every idea. I have never owned a nic or ebjd because I keep eartheaters and from my homework it didn't seem a good idea. To each his own though, sorry I can't help OP. Wish I could GL
