I have 2 LMB, and I have been feeding them pellets and other goodies, but I still daily feed them earthworms as I can find them. Will this keep them healthy and show good coloring? I just want what is best for them, soon they will be moving into their 125G home.

It will sustain them but is not the most nutritional food. It would be best to change up there food with other sources as well s pellets if you can.

yah krill, pellets, crickets and other insects, market shrimp, blood worms meal worms what ever you can get them to eat. The more different things you can get them to eat the more balanced their diet will be and the better off/healthy they will be

worms are loaded with protein and i would think thats good for a lmb

As far as live feeders go, earthworms are just about the best. As long as they come from a clean environment, they are safe and nutritious. You're already feeding pellets, which is great. You might also consider adding frozen seafood- shrimp, fish, clams, whatever you can get should be good. Just remember, the more intact it is the better the nutritional profile. Shrimp in shell are better than shelled, and whole shrimp are best of all. Same with fish- fillets are OK, but head, skin, bones, and guts add more nutrients. The freezing process makes parasite or pathogen transmission unlikely.

I just don't want them on rosey reds or fat heads. What other live foods would be good? Black worms? Or are they to small?
