anyone know of any corals that dont need to be hand fed but can feed off of a aged tank with bunch of live rock and sand or w/e that can do fine in low light. i was thinking of the anenomes with tentacles and feather dusters. anyone can give me a clue im planning to start new.

Mushrooms aren't really corals, but they are very easy. Evidence? I have them, and they are growing and multiplying.

so you don't feed it special liquid?

nope they collect little bits of stuff that's already left over from feeding fish

Mushrooms all the way.

I'd advise you to stay away from anenomes and featherdusters. Nems need high light and great water and feather dusters should be hand fed.

Anthelia ('waving hand' coral) is also very easy to keep (to the extent of being nearly invasive), and requires no direct feeding (it will absorb nutrients directly from the water).

zoos and star polyps are easy corals too

zoos! i forgot about zoos.
