I love faroella catfish, sorry for your loss..
Yeah I do too but I can't really blame the loach either tho. He was just being himself. I honestly should've taken him back right away and demanded my $ back for him since he was mislabeled as a peaceful specie of loach.

Yeah that’s true, now I know what loach to not get?
Yeah from my research on em they are the largest and most aggressive out of the whole botia family. They get upto 1ft long in the end. One weird thing I found out while removing him was that apparently they have cheek spines that only come out in self defense. Blew my mind when I seen what looked like a mini ribcage come out from under his eyes like a pleco.

Most loaches have those. Cories easy to breed? Kolton13 Kolton13 have you bred them? You got any pics or advise. I've never had luck. Maybe I can learn something.

Huh, never new that before. I guess I just never noticed it before that one loach. None of my clown loaches ever showed em even when I removed em from the tank.

If you want no brainer easy then any of the live barers , so guppies, platties, mollies, swordtails, etc. And platties are probably the easiest to keep out of those simply because many guppies are interbred nowadays and can be fragile.
Something next level like bristlenose plecs, corys, leopard or zebra danios, all still nice and small, and rosy barbs, cherry barbs or similar.
also a little larger, 3 spot gourami or lace gourami, or even Siamese fighting fish, but growing on the young is a challenge there as you need to separate males at an early age.
convicts and jewel cichlid are easy but getting rid of the young can be hard so stick to something like kribensis.
A twenty would be fine for a pair of kribs.

Yes a 20 would be perfect for rainbows. they only get about 4 inches, peaceful, never seen any bigger
