Convicts is a strong contender, but rainbows (Herotilapia multispinosa) are also easy, and fairly peaceful. A lot more colorful, too. They were the first cichlids I spawned, and that was before I knew anything about the fish, much less breeding them.
for sure! african jewels just put them in for a week take out 20 % of the water re-fill it to make them think it rained and bam they breed lol it was always the easest for me =D
thanks. but i think i will start out with platies. ive only had my 2 female platies and 1 male platy for a week and ive already seen a baby and one of my females is pregnant. does anyone know how long it takes before she gives birth?
