i know i posted some in serval catorgyies that is because the food depends on indival size of fsih and what kind of fish it is. which of the perisous posted will be the easit to breed and the best food sorece. more then one from each can be secleted any othe suggestion i am open too.:)

also what would breed the fastest.

Why do you wish to feed feeders apart from the cost benefit? Your fish will show better colours almost always when fed a high quality frozen protien based foods and pelleted staples, depending on the fish.

i'm trying to keep this a pondso i will only have too feed very little. also this will make it more like a natural pond. i realy don't care about colors other then in my gar, muskie and bass. i don't want to have to spend a great amount of money to feed these guys weekly. i want to have a good asablish breeding population of feaders. i will have cover and plants so fry will survive.

Well I dont know what the rate of reproduction for North American natives is, but general good thinking will tell you what sized feeder fish is best to feed to your main collection. This means something like, you wouldnt breed guppies for a large group of 6ft monsters, you'd opt for a bigger feeder. It coluld also take several minths to establish a good breeding population of fish. Also consider that to keep feeders alive, you must feed them, pay for the running costs etc and shelter them. Is this cost going to be less then just buying feeders from the LFS and quarentining them? If so, your on the right track.

yes this will a lot less because my stock will be.
2 northern muskie,2-3 long nose gar, 1-2 channel cats, 4-10 lmbs, mabye a striper or two, some crappie. so i would have to buy about 20 dozed shiners every week thats about 100$ a week mabye less.

You are planning on feeding 20 feeders or 20 dozen feeders a week? Either way, your fish when bigger only require feedings maybe 3-4 times a week. The channels I know of can do with less.

i know woops not 20 dozen i meant 10dozen 120 fedders. it be less of a hasel to feed the feeder and have a breed population then to buy. which one should i go with then.

anyone

the fathead minnows would probably breed the fastest, but it would take a while, all the feeders are going to take awhile, how big is this pond going to be
