Woah, clockwork, relax man.
It's true that it's not an original concept, but honestly nowadays on this site what is? I seem to recall that I posted a thread on this topic in the ray forum 4 or 5 years ago (well, I guess it involved stuffing pellets into earthworms) but honestly, who's going to go back and find that to read it? And there were probably threads on pothos before JK47 posted on it (I built my first pothos filter in the early '90s, and I'm sure others were doing that before me).
MFK has grown tremendously in the past few years and part of that has involved a big increase in new fishkeepers, many of whom don't seem to have any interest in going and back and researching old topics that have already been discussed. I've long since resigned myself to the fact that the same questions are going to keep coming up over and over again, and different users are going to post as though they've "discovered" something new and exciting that no one else has thought of before. While it may not be new and exciting to you or the hobby, if it's a way for a new fishkeeper to learn something it's probably not so bad.
