Totally agree, it can be dangerous for your health

many people choose to keep all natural tanks, no chemical adding what so ever. and with plenty of filtration and matenince, i honestly can't see the harm in that. exept morally, and i can't see eating a pet as fine.

Ok but if the fish was bought on LFS and/or it has not been born on this natural tanks, you dont know what treatments was submited. Anyway i never eat a fish of my tank, or snail, or crayfish. But in the case you mentioned, natural tank without chemicals and good maintenance, there would not be any problem.

in any asian shop i see fish swimming in tanks for food whats up w/ that? i also see the natural tank idea not being a problem either. i say this because you raise the fish and you know whats been put into that tank/ water. i would tend to think a fish i raised for food would be better then fish caught wild or farm raised, since you dont know what the fish was exposed to. just my thought.i personally dont eat fish i thhate that fishy flavor. i do love to raise fish or go fishing:D though very relaxing

My friend's daughter caught a pacu behind her house in the lake, we ate it, and it was yummy. Kind of made me shiver at first because I owned one. But hey, it was yummy, better in my tummy than in a lake where it doesn't belong.....
