I don't know if it needs bottom brace or not....let me tell you my experience with a 110x. got of of ebay for real cheap because was a leaker also the bottom plastic was cracked in several places. I resealed the tank tested for two weeks set up for 2 months then it developed a leak, did same process over same result after 3 months. I gave the tank to a friend he replaced the bottom plastic and resealed, has been holding for 10 months now.
What I beleive is that the cheap plastic peice on the bottom does keep the glass from spreading over time which creates small tears in the silicone.
I would find out the manufacture of the tank and see if it was designed that way, it says glass in the description but maybe this is an acrylic tank, I don't think they have framing.
just remember 180 gallons of water weighs over 1400 pounds. iwould make sure those seems are good
