  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
thanks tojo if they all look like they are still handling the treatment well then i will probably do the third treatment then just to be sure i just didnt know if doing the third treatment would be harsher on them or not, and i will turn the lights on and try to get some pics havent tried to get pics of the fry since they were smaller so maybe it will be easier now lol and maybe the ebjd will stay still long enough (wishful thinking lol)

ebjd are just to hard to keep alive

i want one sooo badly but every time i see them there sick

IMO EBJD take two things,

1. If you get them from a good line they are VERY VERY hardey!

2. If you really want one decide to do and just do it. You have to be determined. They may be hard some time but for those willing OH SO REWARDING!

ok here are the best pics i could get of them without a flash the little buggers are fast, and the little demons killed off the other smaller fry in the night so now its just the 2 festae and the ebjd (who i may have to end up dividing as hes chasing them alot today for some reason:screwy:i think the ebjd is pretty unique though because he has a nice straight line of red across the top of his dorsal like some of the regular jacks do, i havent seen this in other ebjd has anyone else seen this? (cant really tell to well from the pics though:()

this is a great thread. where can you find some extract and how long did it take for your fish to start eating the pellets soak with it? Also did you soak it then let it dry or soak (and for how long) it then feed it to your fishes? The more information the better. Thanks in advance.

It's not rocket science. You can't really soak to little or too long - well maybe too long if the pellet dissolves. The extract is pretty expensive and is sold at local fish stores from various aquarium product manufacters. It's main purpose I believe is to entice picky eaters to pellets. IMO the best bet is Hikari Bio-gold+ w/garlic ................fish can get picky about taste and this product was developed by the experts. There is no garuntee that any fish will eat extract lace or garlic chunks. But if they already eat pellets the Bio Gold should go over well. Heres a link to Garlic boost @ my LFS, give ya some idea what I'm talkin' about.

so i went to go feed them today and my ebjd is dead :cry::cry: he survived all the treatment for parasites and was a great little fish with an awesome attitude and then he got stuck in the shell deco i had in the tank :(:(:( from what i can tell it looks like he freaked out when he couldnt fit out the front opening and instead of backing up tried to force himself thru  he completely cut thru his skin on both sides behind his gill plates this sucks so badly to have a great ebjd and then he not even die from anything that is typical of them, need less to say the shell is now in the trash :irked::irked:
