EBJD and Gold Severums....

I raised my green severum with my ebjd. Yes my severums is now 6" my ebjd is 4" the severum keeps growing and the ebjd seems to have stop growing. The ebjd did not like my severum but thing have changed. Like with all cichlids there will be some nipping but nothing bad. A 55 gal could work as a grow out tank for a year IMO. Sk I say go for it.

I wanted to see what you guys think about the compatibility of these two species. I have four gold severums and two EBJDs in the same 55g tank. They're all still young and I plan on upgrading to larger tank later on after they grow some more..


I'm just curious to see what you guys think about this.

As juveniles you can keep them in a small tank with no issues, I have two green severums and two JD (juvies) for a few months in a 30 gallon without issues, of course I realize things will change once they all grow and either I give them away or get a bigger tank.

my severums and EBJD's never take notice even when theyre feeding, maybe got lucky with none aggressive EBJD's because they have never shown aggression to any of my fish, even the dithers which are congos and tiger barbs!
