i just bought a little female to see if he likes her. I actually have him for sale on the marketplace here.

He is super nice without any flaws. Why are you selling him? He would make a nice breeder.

this blue is amazing, hard to find ebjd that have normal heads and the body looks just like a regular exept for color.
i just got some babies ebjd. but looking at them im afraid they will have the funny looking face shape. i love em though.

Funny face and body shapes are caused by too much inbreeding. Best way to get EBJD is to breed a male with a regular female then breed one of her fry with the male again. You'll probably get 50% EBJDs. Some breeders just continue doing this without introducing any new fish to the breeding pool and you end up getting the goofball ones eventually.

It is technically unknown whether the poor quality of Blue Dempseys is due to excessive inbreeding or due to the mutated genetics that creates the Blue coloration...

Having raised/kept/bred them over 3+ years I have seen a wide variety of quality and I personally believe that it is due to excessive inbreeding...

How can you rationally claim their poor head shape is due to inbreeding then suggest to someone to further inbreed them? Stop and think man...

Here goes mine. the first one is about 3in and the second one is about 5in. I know for sure that the fist one a a regular JD. but can someone tell me what type of JD the seocnd one is

Is the JD in my profile picture a regular JD or a BG? Is a BG just a regular JD with prominent "blue" coloring?

UPDATE: Found this post, which is just as confusing.

Can anyone shed some light on the subject?
