It's all good mate well say that we can have social groups on here so I went ahead and just made the group right on mfk and added to my sig

I love to see people doing their part for the hobby. I hate it when breeders brag about their stock and talk down on others. Cooperation instead of competition will produce the best EBJDs that may shake off their notorious reputation. I personally have three different bloodlines of EBJDs that I would like to breed. one large male from Rick Coye, 3inch ebjd (unknown bloodline) from Dung, and a bunch of 1 inch EBJD, (potential) BGJD,EB/G-JD from Mark. It may be a long time before I get any results, but I hope that I can also contribute to the future of EBJDs.

join the group Hlee!! the more members we get with different lines and projects the better chance we have at creating some quality EBJD!

same here....

"Same here" yet you do it your self...

I have one that is a year old and I will say someone needs to fix these guys or they should not be bred. Mine is a mess stoped growing at 4" and is deformed.

It is best to buy these guys from real breeders. I learned that the hard way.

Very true snowflake the lfs EBJD will 99% of the time be weak and deformed. I got lucky and my LFS got there EBJD from a breeder who just had to many of them

Hey Jaws,I have been trying to breed these guys for a few years now.Got a few BG/GG JDs from Marc in California a few months ago. They were 3 1/2 to 4 inches long. Two paired up and breed 2 times already.First spawn I lost all the fry,but this second time around I must have 150 fry. They are supposed to produce reg, blue gene, gold, ebjd and blue/gold fry.Looks like I got all of those in this spawn.Mostly reg or blue gene ones,as far as I can tell. They are about a month old, largest ones are maybe 1/4 on an inch long. Also from Marc I got some blue/gold jd (one of the first to create this color morph)about 6 months ago. They were 1 1/2 inch long, now about 2 1/2 inches.Mostly look like golds with a tint of blue on their fins.Kind of disappointed with them, some have shorter fins, some with a beak nose.Guess I'll try to keep them from breeding.Any way I hope this new batch of fry I have turn out some nice looking JDs.

I also have a couple of mark's EB/G-JDs and they vary wildly in appearance. I have been feeding them foods loaded with spirulina in the hopes that I can bring out the blue as much as possible. So far only one of them has a tint of blue throughout its body and the rest look like just regular golds, but only time will tell how they turn out.

Also, I hope that people just accept the fact that you will run into deformities such as beak faces or short fins. I mean out of a couple hundred fry some are going to look retarded. You can't honestly expect that all your kids are going turn out looking like brad pitt or alessandro ambrosio.
