I've had a little bit of experience with EBJD's but all the ones that I've gotten were already around 2". The group that I've gotten is about close to an 1". I had five of them but lost one today. It was the smallest of the lot and hadn't been eating since I got it last week. I've been doing water changes each week and putting in a bit of aquarium salt in as well. Temp is around 78, do you think it was just stress that killed off that lil guy or am I looking at a parasite problem possibly?

Thanks! I'll bump the temp then. Yeah it's been a roller coaster ride with these fish the past week. It was actually a wonder I got any of these fish alive. When I ordered them they arrived a day late because FedEx messed up my shipping address on the package. I lost one fish and the rest were super stressed out. This last little guy that died was almost dead when I put him in but he really didn't eat after that. It was a wonder he lasted as long as he did. The rest thus far have been quite healthy.

I think they are known for having internal issues. I always wanted one but could only get them at about an inch and they all died from not eating..

Its a hit or a miss, my EBJD is a oddball.I watch over him closely when I noticed he isn't even eating the food right away. Then for some reason I come back and the food is gone.He is 3 inches, so I have been lucky to pass most the issues that people are running into.

Yeah I've had a few that have been like that too. Guess I'll just have to wait it out and see. Going to get a UV tonight to help with things.
