Ebjd male with reg female jd spawning!

well they spawned again of course right before I left for ct.Had free swimming fry by the following tuesday.Monday this week(10/12) the male was showing some aggression.At some point she turned on him and did quite a bit of damage in a lip lock.Lost quite a bit of meat on his snout and the interior of his mouth is hanging in shreds.At that point I did something Ive never done before.Put the safty of the spawn above the safty of the parents.I took the parents out.Dad is in a 20g hospital tank with 20% daily waterchanges and melafix.Female went to live in the 125g with the female blue dolphins and female empress.The fry are coming along,there are at least 10 in there so as long as they keep growing I am at stage 2 of producing my own line of ebjds.
If the male makes it,he is officially retired from breeding,he gets to live in one of the showtanks.
