EBJD - stunt growth?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
mine has grown very slowly as well, but parasites have never been an issue . . . I think the key was that he was sharing his grow-out tank with other fish (first one female convict, then another), and I think he wasn't aggressive enough to get his fair share of the food

now that he has the tank to himself, I'm starting to see a bit more development, he has certainly filled-out more

The main cause of stunted growth is poor water quality, others might disagree. But, as long as you do water changes and keep the quality good he should be fine.

^ Agree 100% up to 3" - I'd be careful not to overfeed, it doesn't take alot of excess to build high nitra in 10gal.

When I first got him, he was spitting food so I Prazi and Metro'd him. I think the problem was that the LFS 'spoiled' him and fed him nothing but bloodworms. Now he very rarely eats pellets or flake - just treats like nightcrawlers, crickets, and bw.
