EBJD??

It sounds like you got a good quality Blue dempsey... be happy...

But your tank sounds like it has a pretty full stock list. If you add more now do so knowing it won't last long term...

Since things seem to be working out though, I wouldn't chane anything. Cichlids are both territorial and aggressive by nature. Provided no harm is being done, all fish are able to get food and no one appears overly stressed... I wouldn't disturb the delicate balance you have acheived...

While I agree/understand that many Blue Dempseys are poorly bred and therefore are weakish fish... we should not assume this to be true for all Blue dempseys...

I have a 9" male that will bite your finger off if he hears you saying that Blue dempseys don't get as big or as aggressive as a standard Dempsey...

dont add more fish ure fine with the ones u already have .. nice demspey btw

Some EBJD`s are quite aggressive.I would try re arranging the tank during your next water change and let them figure things out from there. I would not add anymore fish to the tank though.

Maybe you should give em more hiding places, so they can establish their own territories? I have 3 ebjd's 3 blood parrots and 3 yellow labs, they have their own areas and it keeps their bickering at bay, they never really hurt each other but as someone said on this thread, it's the nature of cichlids! :) Hope this helps.

Im a little of topic but that is one NICE ebjd!!!!! I dont know if its cuz of the blue gravel or what. But i know one thing, that thing is beautiful

i keep my ebjds with my angel fish for the time being
