I didn't think about that and voted for the first option, but I agree with you, I guess I just automatically assumed the ebjd was causing physical damage to the geos.



imo no, that probably will just add to the problem. If you want to attempt to solve the problem by spreading out the aggression (which actually can work) you'd be much better off adding more robust species, like silver dollars, giant danios, etc. But be careful not to overcrowd your tank.

I have also thought about sell my ebjd as you might know. Mine also is a punk but never hurts anyone. So I'm keeping him and it's been fine.

So get another tank or just let it play it's self out like everyone said if no one is hurt it's ok.

Just pay attention for any nastiness, generally EBJD's aren't overly nasty. Mine gets that way with his mate, but it usually is never anything super bad. But other fish... that's a different story.

go with option 2. dont get more geos. if i remember correctly you're still working with a 55g? geos feel more comfortable in groups which a 55g is not supportive of. once the ebjd gets larger it will dominate the 55g.

EBJDs are gorgeous fish. See if you can try something different. Perhaps add some smaller fish that make an easier target for the EBJDs aggression. Giant Danios may work for this, as well as Tiger Barbs (only in a large group though, as otherwise they would nip the more expensive fishes' fins.
