they are very delicate when compared to regular dempseys, but not that fragile when compared to things like f0 discus or altums

I'v put mine through hell and back from 1" to 7"...

Aparently they are hard to raise from the 1" Mark i have one at 5-6" and have had no problems.

When purchasing these fish, expect to buy 6 or more. The most healthy out of the batch will look the best. Dont expect to buy one EBJD and expect it to look like some you see online as a good representation of an EBJD.

trying to get an established specimen, rather than a tiny one out of many at the LFS also helps
