Scary how easy people get it considering it's a non-airbourne virus

Actually, the CDC is backtracking on that claim. I really don't think they know a lot about Ebola. http://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/220046-cdc-airborne-ebola-possible-but-unlikely
People do seem to be getting sick even when taking extreme safety measures.

why do you doubt that? I remember when HIV first came to light. all major health orgs said that fears were unfounded due to the level of exposure required to contract it. Quarantines were resisted then. Now how many ??million deaths have occurred from it. it's hard to find total numbers.
HIV/AIDS is far more difficult to contract than ebola. particularly since vomit and diarrhea are included in contagious bodily fluids, AND both of those are huge aspects of the disease in every case. [Not to mention hemorrhagic body sores.]
You don't even have to get those contaminants into a cut (or vagina or anus or bloodstream) to catch ebola.
Protective suits are not required while tending HIV/AIDS patients. They are with ebola.
Come on...!
Say that again in 30 years.
?

Ebola on the scale of aids is going to be horrific. Rather than dying in relatively longterm, ebola means bloody messy death for a lot of people in a few days.

My come on is for the drastic change of tune in the last week concerning ebola. They didn't see it coming?

I believe the experts did know, they were hoping to control it and lie to the public but it's already starting to spin out of control

ok ecoli, I misunderstood you.
A major disturbance to me is, it takes at least 6 months to make the (thus far) most effective treatment.
http://khon2.com/2014/10/06/how-the-ebola-drug-zmapp-is-made/ and now that the horse is outta the barn, all of a sudden the supplies are supposedly "all used up".
methinks that actually means "remaining supplies are being hoarded for high uppity-ups" like powerful people in Wash DC.
;-)
you and I would be screwed.
