I still dont understand why theyd make it airpowered? You figure that thing gets all heavy from water and other gunk itll have a hard time turning over.

Airlift pumps ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airlift_pump ) are very efficient.

Since it is constantly spinning it pretty much balances itself.

Algae scrubbers are an excellent water purifier, problem being most people are under the impression that algae is bad and most don't like the look of it.

Interesting. Where can I learn more about this. When I move an build a pond could I do this on a huge scale? I really want a water wheel in my pond and a big slimy onenwould be awesome.

These are excellent for outdoor use. Can be completely designed into a system and a true DIY project.

It isn't advertised, but that unit uses two 96w lights.

Start your research with sewage treatment, biowheel wastewater treatment, and algae scrubbers to start with (this education isn't an easy road but it's worth it).
