anyway, if its not too much to ask, is it ok to mix the silver aro with spotted gars,or with a jardini? i was thinking of putting them together when the silver grows up, thanks in advance for any advise

that all depends on what your feeding, how much and how often, i really cant answer that question as i dont have a full grown silver (yet )


i do know if you raise one on shrimp your looking at 6 bucks a pound, now how long that last is another story

the silver is in a 50g for now(am planning of transferring him to the pond once he outgrow the tank)the gars are about 12" and 10"
i just succeeded in training the aro to eat pellets as the lfs i boought him from fed him with live feeder fishes

many thanks bro goodluck to us with our silvers,i decided not to join him with the gars just as yet , as the gars diet consists of feeder fishes, just yesterday one of the gars swallowed a 3incher feeder , i'll never want that to happen to my 4inch aro. maybe when he gets way bigger for the gars to swallow,hehehe
