Eel help

Can anyone give me info on this species: mastacembelus liberiensis ?

I can't find anything online about that spiny eel species.

Also, just wondering, what are the largest (top 3 or so) freshwater eel species that have been kept in aquariums?

1. Yes they have, although not very often.
2. Nobody can be sure, probably about 15".
