Have you tried frozen bloodworms ? My golden tulip eel loves them. Just a idea. You probably already tried them. My eel took about a week before starting eat. Good luck.

u made me feel good man .. as ur eel start eating after week that is good .. and i was thinking in live guppies .. but it is not so practical as his mouth is small i guess ..

i am leaving live blood worms with him in the tank .. if any time he said " why not give it a chance " lol

eels can be hard...
dont worry.
they can go very long without eating.
hes probably getting used to his surroundings.
try bloodworms or shrimp.

its related to tulip eels i think.
so care should be about the same.
IME they are very hardy fish.
water params not so important.
just keep it stable.
ive seen them alive and feeding in buckets no bigger than themselves.
feeding is usually easy.
just meaty foods that will fit in its mouth.

that is good the temp i keep it around 27 C ..
all me feedings are live blood worms ... ( for all of my fishes )

i think he is some kind of Nile eel and ppl here say that he emigrate to the sea for breeding then either die in the way back or got caught but fishermen as he keep him self under ground all time in the nile so show up only when emigrating >> is that is true ??
