The "black spotted" eel is the Mastacembelus dayi I mentioned earlier. It will grow to somewhere between 12-20" long (the official size given is 12", but many people say that they actually get up to 20"). Their care requirements are about the same as tire track and fire eels, other than tank size (I would say about 90 gallons minimum for this species). If you want it to accept other foods, you could either starve it or wait until it begins accepting food from your hand and start offering it by hand (starving is a more efficient method though, imo).fishmamma;4692448; said:That's the name that was used at the lfs.. so lets say it's a Black Spotted, is that much different from a TT???
Also I think that he's settled in more.. he is not swimming around like at first.. but stays mostly in his spot.. under the rocks or his little cave...
and he will only eat Ghost Shrimp nothing else so far, really I've only tryed fresh shrimp and he ate that the first time I fed it to him . .. but now he won't even look at it... I guess he's just picky...
and he doesn't show any agression at all so far...
Thanks again for the info..
