ei guys, i just want to ask about freshwater eels.

i saw some eels that looks like the face of a moray eel but its color is brown.

is there a moray eel that is freshwater or not?

if not, i guess that i am right that they have been converted or something.

it looked something like this but the color is really brown.

and they are small

its a Echidna rhodochilus

The common species sold as FW eels, are gymnothorax tile.

This species should not be kept in FW for life, and is better in brackish conditions, and can be housed in full salt.

The first photo you posted IS a Moray Eel - a full salt species.

The "freshwater" eels never look good in LFS - I think they need brackish water to do well.

anybody know how big G. tile get?

tile are just kinda pale olive brown right?
maybe thinking about keeping one in SW.

i like the E. rhodochilus, how big are they?

I hav emy eel in full brackish and he is doing fine. When I got it the lfs had it in FW and it didn't look good. Two days in the brackish water and he was good to go.
