My bichir ate feederfish at first then tilapia and now tilapia/sinking pellets

driftwood, and bichir are much easier to feed and otherwise house then spiney eels are. btw black spotted eels ( m. dayii ) get bigger then 20" i have a 2yr old that has outgrown my 75. What else is in your tank?

Right now I have a frontosa in there but I might get rid of him and get some other cichlids. Oh and thanks for the info

You could also go with reedfish/ropefish they are like a inbetween eel and bichir(they are in thebichir family) so they would be easier to keep and you could get more then one they like company.
