Just curious but does the egg crate get really dirty under the gravel/sand. I've seen the gunk buildup on egg crate used as a divider and if I don't clean it it adds to my nitrate.

For me it doesnt really matter to me, just have to do more water chamges and scrubbing. I will need to seperate my trimacs when breeding, and possibly my lyonsi

I'm gonna be putting some in my 135 then because I have some lava rock with cichlids that love to dig under it from time to time. Thanks for the info!

I drilled a bunch of holes in it so it does not stop water flow. I drilled about 30 holes in it and I like it because it is strong
