Yea, next time I'm going to take the eggs out. It was just the first time Ive experienced this and there's nothing on the internet about them breeding, so I didn't want to take the eggs out and realize I should have left them in.
cannot wait for next time

You'll be the first to be informed, Liz. :D

Wow congrats On the first breed sorry they were eaten, also please make sure I'm second to know of the second attempt, I may have lost my columbian sharks but I would really like to see more about this, congrats again

well I have an update to this.

I have a 180g full sw where I keep 3 archer, 1 mono, 3 columbian sharks and 6 green spotted puffers.

This morning I stopped to take a look at the tank and I see one of the sharks with a huge bump under their chin. First thing comes to mind is that it ate one of my puffers.
Or that it has something lodged in its throat. So I took the lid off the tank and netted the fish and took a plastic spoon to open it's mouth to see what is stuck there.

At first it looked to me like it had a clear plastic suction cup wedged in its mouth. So I tried to use the back of the spoon to get around and behind it only to find out that it was a mass of eggs.

I have never heard of this and did a good search and came up with this
http://www.fishlore.com/fishforum/columbian-shark/78955-columbian-sharks-do-breed-captivity.html

Which led me to your thread. I will start a thread of my own but wanted to drop this in here to see if you had any thoughts or advice.
