Poo can float or sink. Your pictures show snail poo. Mystery snails lay their eggs above the waterline, not in the water.WMDunkin;2677226; said:really they have other stuff that is floating around that looks like poo to me. but since the snail sat there all day I thought it was eggs but it must of really had to go thenSo will the ghost shrimp clean that up or no?
Shrimps really don't eat poo contrary to what most people parrot.dthomasi;2677250; said:All the mystery (apple) snails I have had have laid egg clutches which leave no question about what they are.
You can go to www.applesnail.net , or post a picture here to help better identify what type of "mystery snail" you have.
Also, I have never had my shrimp eat any poop (or eggs), they don't act like cleaners like some people say, but they will eat fish food that the fish miss.
