ill try to get a pic off my phone, do they ever move the eggs?

What has happened it they have hatched because you've seen the tail, she's then picked them up in her mouth and placed them in a pit. To the naked eye they prove difficult to see, but a good ehye will let you see them.

In about 4-7 days they'll be swimming. In 2-3 weeks there'll be 200-300 more eggs. In 3 months there'll be nough to supply a mid sized town. Even in a year, they'll still crank out eggs at an unbelievable rate.

yeah they do move them and the eggs hatch very very quickly. Like Mystix said...

Yes, true. My female is hovering hover her 4 day 0ld wigglers (5th batch) all day. Only comes to for the occasional gill flare at the male, and for food.

i wouldnt be too concerned what the female does with them, so i wouldnt do anything, even if she eats them all as another batch is inevitable with cons

I thought my cons had eaten their eggs until I noticed the wigglers in a new part of the tank. At first theyre real small and bunched together, looks more like a brown blob that wiggles. Within a few days theyre much bigger and swimming around. About 100 eggs were laid and hatched for me, and my other fish love their new food :).
