Since paint soaks into the wood some it would take a heavy scatch to start damage, but then again I had a pleco suck thru paint fiberglass and one other coating :screwy:.

Wasn't planning on getting a pleco :) Australian native plywood tank (jardini!)

So basically I've goto find some paint that can be submergable, looks like this weekend (if mum will drive me) I'll have to go to some paint specialists and look for a submergable paint.

Start by calling as many as possible, save Mum some petrol. Explain that you want to make a potable water tank.

good idea, if I call I should get some quotes on plywood and glass or acrylic.
