Before and after. It definitely increases flow considerably. I never bothered to measure though. As far as power consumption, I can see wattage increasing. The motor will only work as hard as it's able to. With a restricted volute acting as a flow inhibitor, the motor isn't able to work to its full potential.

The 1260 and 1262 are the same pump from what i understand.

It increased flow visibly but it is a full weekend project to get to my plumbing. the tank is in a cubby hole. I have to climb into a 14" wide space to attach a hose and extend the hose 4 more feet to get to a bucket. Not interested enough to do it. I do want to pick up a killawatt to see what power consumption is now though.

How about a 5 gal bucket and a stop watch? If it takes 28 sec to fill to the rim then your output is 635 gph, and the 1262's 900 gph would fill the 5 gal in 20 sec. That eight second difference is very easy to measure.
I just tested this method and achieved 38 seconds to fill a 5 gallon bucket with my 2262. I initially had concerns that the output was low and this pretty much confirms it. My calculations put that at 456gph. Would having too much media in the 2262 reduce it that much or a faulty impelller more likely be the culprit? I should note that the output is affixed with a FX6 splitter at the end but that shouldn’t make a difference. I know it’s an older post but I was utilizing the method suggested so it made it easier to quote/reply.

Well, upon further research it appears that the flow rate is actually lower than mine or my calculations are off. I’m basing it off of a previous post found here:
