Thank you for the answer no the is no noise at all wen it's plugged in dry ill take it as crap then. Is it worth keeping the bio ball things

If you need more biological media then sure, keep them. Just rinse them out real well if they were in a dump of sorts, no idea what kind of chems could have gotten onto them. Bio balls are surprisingly expensive.
