Eheim 2080 on a 60 Gallon... IS IT CRAZY?

If it is anything like my 2078 the flow range is pritty large, I think you'll be able to cut it back far enough to work good. You might have to put it beside the tank though, depending on how much room you have in your stand.

Yea that's what I'm hoping... either way ill figure something out with it... even if I have to drill more holes in the spray bar.

How many gal/hr does it put out?

It is rated for 450 Gallons per hour... which means I will be turning my tank over 7.5 times per hour!!

before i upgraded the tank, my old 55g (UK gallons) had two fluval FX5 filters on it!
Has a lot of fish that were growing fast, worked nicely...

Well I have 10 RBP's in my 60 and they create ALOT of waste which is why I didn't mind getting this superstar filter.

Thanks for the info, I'm not up on my Eheim gal/hr stats.

Some may disagree but I don't think 450 gal/hr is too much for a 60. In my 65 I have 1200 gal/hr and my fish aren't swirling around, so I guess what I'm saying is get another one!!!

What kind of filters are you running?

I just got this monster.... Insane it stand about a foot and a half tall and a foot wide... it took me about 30 mins to put together
