Eheim 2080

Hey!
Im gonna buy a eheim 2080. Does anyone know if it is possible to use only one intake? I have two other canisters on the same tank so i wont need both on on the 2080

Howdy and welcome to the forum.

Don't buy an 2080. I had one, and please note the past tense.Please search this forum for my posts on that filter. The classic series is way superior.

Eheim is great, I have seven Eheims running in my house right now, all the way up to 2262s. But unless they fundamentally overhauled the 2080 design that model is a disgrace to the brand.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I already have a oase 850 and 600 on this tank, so i could probably go for one of the other eheim models even though it means a bit smaller filter. Maybe the 2178. Any experience with it?

I haven't had to be in the market for an Eheim in a long, long time. It looks to me like they all share the same design that caused unacceptable bypass in my experience. Could be they have fixed it, but then, you cannot go wrong with a classic series.

Yeah i see. Other than the biggest one tjat is very expensive, the classic filters are a bit small i think. At least the ones i can find. Im looking to get as big filter as possible
