the EHFI pro can be used a long, long, long time . . . I'm not sure when or why you would change it, but I do know that you should never change more than 50% at a time, because otherwise you'd have to start building your nitrifying bacteria all over again . . .

also, when cleaning your filters, make sure to rinse the EHFI pro in tank water, not tap water; otherwise, you could kill the bacteria and, again, you'd have to start from scratch

the little green half-cut elbows are, I believe, to keep the bend in the hose when you put the spray-bar in the tanks . . . I don't use them anymore

I'm not sure about your last sentence, are you saying you couldn't re-connect the hoses? I'm assuming they gave you the quick release taps for your hoses (?)
thanks, i think i am all good, i thought the elbow shape tube without half cut is for the spray bar, the half cut one will leak water.
tomorrow lfs will have my 75g and i will install it.

all set, when i plug it in makes loud noise, am i suppose to fill canister up with water?

yes you are. Suck on the outlet pipe until you hear water gushing into the canister. Now hold the outlet pipe under the tank and wait until the water flows out of it. Close the valves, bring the outlet pipe where you want it in the tank. Open the valve on the inlet pipe, switch the filter on and open the valve on the outlet pipe.

PS. If you didn't buy outlet pipes, do so now or cleaning the filter will get messy

how does outlet pipes look like(green one came with it)? i don't have a stand, so water might not come down. filling up 75g of water takes forever, i am afraid that filling up 75g might cause floor to collapse.

filter still won't run. i filled water through the siphon and then plug in, its not sucking water in or spraying out, but make loud noise.

do you have the quick-release connectors on your tubing? if so, are the valves turned to "flow" position? for the filter to work properly, the valves need to be in line with the connectors; if they are at 90-degree angle, then the valves are closed

is that of any help?

thank u guys, i filled more water and is running fine now.
